As of October 2026, Typeform has a free plan with 10 responses a month and three main paid plans: Basic at $28 a month billed yearly or $39 monthly (100 responses, 1 user), Plus at $56 or $79 (1,000 responses, 3 users) and Business at $91 or $129 (10,000 responses, 5 users). For accounting firms wanting a reviewed report from each response, OneForm is the alternative, from $19 a month.

We make OneForm, one of the tools on this list. We've tried to be fair: every competitor detail below comes from the vendor's own pricing, product or help pages, checked in October 2026, and each tool's section says who it's best for.

**Try OneForm free.** If your firm's forms should end in a client report rather than a spreadsheet row, OneForm drafts one from each response for your team to approve before it's sent. [Start free, no card needed](https://app.oneform.si/signup).

## Key takeaways

- Typeform prices its plans by monthly responses and seats: 100 responses and 1 user on Basic, 1,000 and 3 on Plus, 10,000 and 5 on Business. Limits are account-wide, reset monthly and don't roll over.
- Every submitted response counts, including test submissions through a published form, partial responses captured at a Partial Submit Point, and responses you later delete.
- When an account reaches 100% of its limit, its forms go into private mode until the next month unless you upgrade, buy a response add-on or turn on auto-upgrade.
- Yearly billing saves $132 on Basic, $276 on Plus and $456 on Business compared with paying monthly for a year, but Typeform doesn't refund early cancellations.
- Typeform says it experiments with pricing, so the plans in your account can differ from the public pricing page.

## How much does Typeform cost in 2026?

Typeform's [pricing page](https://www.typeform.com/pricing/) lists these plans as of October 2026, in US dollars before tax:

| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Responses a month | Max with add-ons | Users |
| ----------------- | -------------- | ------------------ | ----------------- | ---------------- | ---------- |
| Free | $0 | $0 | 10 | Not listed | Not listed |
| Basic | $39/mo | $28/mo ($336/yr) | 100 | 750 | 1 |
| Plus | $79/mo | $56/mo ($672/yr) | 1,000 | 2,500 | 3 |

Growth Flow is aimed at go-to-market teams; its plan card lists response enrichment, Smart Insights, multi-language forms, Salesforce, email and text follow-ups, and the Contacts & Automations add-on at no extra cost. It has a 14-day free trial that needs a credit card. Enterprise adds custom response and seat limits, single sign-on, a choice of US or EU data center and custom domains.

The free plan, per Typeform's [help center](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032972852-Free-plan), includes unlimited forms, 10 responses a month across all of them, logic with branching, scores and calculations, multiple endings, embeds, results downloads, Typeform AI and integrations such as HubSpot, Pipedrive, Google Sheets, Slack, Calendly and Zapier.

## What does each Typeform plan include?

The core features are the same on every paid plan. What changes is branding, analytics, some integrations and storage. From the plan comparison on the pricing page:

| Feature | Basic | Plus | Business |

| Custom domain, single sign-on, US or EU data center | Enterprise only | Enterprise only | Enterprise only |

Two practical points for small teams. Basic doesn't allow multiple users, according to Typeform's [Basic plan article](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060585211-Basic-plan), so a second person needs Plus. And because branding removal starts on Plus, a client-facing form without the Typeform footer costs at least $56 a month billed yearly.

## What counts as a response on Typeform?

A Typeform response is a submission collected through a published form, and the response limit is the total your account can collect in a calendar month across all forms. Typeform's help articles spell out the edge cases:

- **Account-wide, not per form.** On Plus with three forms, you get 1,000 responses in total, not 1,000 per form, per the [response limits article](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040197372-Response-limits).
- **Monthly on yearly plans too.** Limits reset every month and apply to both monthly and yearly plans, so a yearly plan doesn't give you a yearly pool. Unused responses don't carry over.
- **Test submissions count.** Responses you submit as tests through a published form count; AI-generated test responses and the builder's Preview mode don't, per the [test responses article](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/8047347611540-Do-test-responses-count-towards-my-response-limit).
- **Deleting doesn't refund.** A deleted response still counts toward that month's limit.
- **Partial responses count.** A respondent who passes a Partial Submit Point counts as one response, and if they finish in a separate browser session it can count as two, per the [partial responses article](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/21102221958676-Collect-partial-responses).

## What happens when you hit your Typeform response limit?

Typeform emails you and shows a notice in your account at 90% and 100% of your limit. At 100%, your forms go into private mode and respondents see a message instead of the form. They reopen when the next month starts or when you upgrade.

You have three ways to keep collecting:

- **Response add-ons.** On Basic you can buy extra monthly responses up to 750 in total, and on Plus up to 2,500, from Plan & billing. You're billed the difference immediately and the higher price continues on later bills, per the [Plus plan article](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060147392-Plus-plan). The add-on prices aren't listed on the public pricing page.
- **Auto-upgrade.** With [auto-upgrade](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/4419735872660-Auto-upgrade-your-response-limits) on, a Basic account that passes 100 responses moves to a 250-response tier, then 500, then 750, and after the 751st response to Plus. Each step is charged pro rata for the rest of the billing period, up to 50,000 responses a month.
- **Upgrade the plan.** Changes take effect immediately and you pay the difference for the current period.

Auto-upgrades stay in place for later billing periods by default. Typeform's example: a yearly Basic plan auto-upgraded to Plus in September renews as a yearly Plus plan. To go back after a busy season, turn auto-upgrade off and downgrade separately. Otherwise a tax-season spike can carry into your next renewal.

Typeform also sells a Contacts & Automations add-on for contact management and automated follow-ups: $25 a month for 2,400 actions (not available on Free or Basic) or $75 a month for 12,000 actions (not available on Free, Basic or Plus), billed monthly, as of October 2026.

## Is Typeform cheaper if you pay yearly?

Yes. On the plan cards, paying yearly saves $132 a year on Basic, $276 on Plus and $456 on Business, roughly 28% to 30% compared with twelve monthly payments. You pay the year upfront.

The trade-off is flexibility. Typeform's [billing FAQ](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029576571-Billing-Payments-FAQ) says cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of the prepaid period, and Typeform doesn't issue refunds for contracts canceled before the period ends. If your volume is seasonal or you're testing whether Typeform fits, start monthly and switch once you know your numbers.

Other billing details from the same FAQ:

- Plans renew automatically and are billed in US dollars, euros or pounds sterling, depending on your billing address.
- Payment is by credit or debit card, PayPal in Europe, or Apple Pay and Google Pay. Purchase orders and payment-request invoices aren't supported except on Enterprise.
- A failed payment is retried for 14 days before the account is downgraded.
- After a downgrade, forms and responses stay in your account, but forms that use paid features go into trial mode and extra seats are removed.

### Why do Typeform prices look different in different places?

Because Typeform tests its pricing. Its help center articles carry a note that Typeform sometimes experiments with pricing plans and that you may see differences between the help center, your account and typeform.com/pricing.

You can see this on the pricing page itself as of October 2026\. Prices and plan limits change often, so check the vendor's own pricing page before you buy. The plan cards at the top show Basic at $39 monthly or $28 yearly, Plus at $79 or $56 and Business at $129 or $91, while the comparison table lower on the page shows $29 or $25, $59 or $50 and $99 or $83\. The billing FAQ's worked example uses Plus at $59 a month or $590 a year, and the pricing FAQ mentions savings of up to 16% with an annual plan while the toggle says 30%. This article uses the plan-card figures; the price on your checkout screen is the one that applies.

## What will Typeform cost a small accounting firm?

Most firms land on Plus, because Basic has one user. Three examples using the plan-card prices:

- **Solo preparer, about 60 intake responses a month, 300 a month from January to April:** Basic covers the quiet months. In season you need add-on responses (up to 750 on Basic) or auto-upgrade, and the add-on price is shown only in your account.
- **Three-person firm, about 400 responses a month, wants no Typeform footer:** Plus, at $672 a year billed yearly or $948 a year paid monthly.
- **Firm that wants question drop-off analysis or Salesforce:** Business, at $1,092 a year billed yearly or $1,548 paid monthly.

To estimate your own bill:

1. Count last year's submissions by month across every form you'd move, including tests.
2. Take your busiest month, not the average, since limits reset monthly and don't pool.
3. Count the people who need to build forms or see results; that sets the minimum plan.
4. List must-have features (branding removal, drop-off analysis, Salesforce, multi-language) and match them to the plan table above.
5. Decide whether auto-upgrade should be on, and put a calendar reminder to review it after your busy season.
6. Compare twelve monthly payments with the yearly price, remembering that yearly plans aren't refunded if you leave early.

It's also worth asking what happens after the form. Typeform's help center describes printing a response to PDF by hand and points to third-party tools for automated per-response PDFs, per its [print responses article](https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029579751-Print-your-form-responses). If your form is meant to end in a written client deliverable, budget for that step too.

## What are cheaper or better-fit Typeform alternatives?

If the price is the problem, these tools publish lower entry prices or larger free tiers, as of October 2026\. Each figure links to the vendor's own pricing page.

### OneForm: best for accounting firms and advisors

OneForm isn't a cheaper Typeform; it's built for a narrower job, and for firms it's the first alternative to try. It shows one question at a time with logic and scores like Typeform, but each response can produce an AI-drafted report written from your firm's instructions, which someone on your team edits and approves before it goes out as a branded PDF, now or on a schedule. Nothing is sent unreviewed unless you turn on auto-send. See the [OneForm vs Typeform vs Jotform table](https://oneform.si/compare/) or the [OneForm as a Typeform alternative](https://oneform.si/alternatives/typeform/) page for a sourced side-by-side.

- Free Forever: $0 for 3 live forms, 50 responses and 50 OneAI Tokens a month, with paid reports and booking pages through your own Stripe account.
- Basic: $19 a month ($190 a year) for unlimited live forms and 300 responses a month.
- Pro: $49 a month ($490 a year) with 3 team members and 1,500 responses a month, plus voice forms, lead scoring and CRM sync. Firm is $149 a month with 5 team members and 5,000 responses.
- Ready-made firm templates, from a [Tax Opportunity Report](https://oneform.si/templates/tax-opportunity/) to an [S Corporation Tax Checkup](https://oneform.si/templates/s-corp-checkup/).

OneForm is newer than Typeform, has fewer templates and integrations, and doesn't do file uploads, e-signatures, product payment forms or document portals. If your forms should end in a [reviewed client report](https://oneform.si/product/reports/), it's the better fit; if those other features are central, Typeform or another tool in the table is.

### The other alternatives

Two of these change the economics most. Tally doesn't cap free submissions outside its fair use policy, and Fillout says forms keep collecting if you go over your limit. For a full rundown with strengths and limits of each, see our [best Typeform alternatives](https://oneform.si/blog/best-typeform-alternatives/) guide, and for a head-to-head, [Typeform vs Jotform vs OneForm](https://oneform.si/blog/typeform-vs-jotform/).

**Get started with OneForm.** Before you commit to a Typeform plan, run your busiest form on OneForm's Free Forever plan, send a test response and read the report it drafts. If it fits, Basic covers 300 responses a month for $19\. [Start free](https://app.oneform.si/signup).

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Typeform free?

Yes, Typeform has a free plan, but it collects only 10 responses a month across all your forms, as of October 2026\. It includes unlimited forms, logic, scores, multiple endings, embeds, Typeform AI and integrations such as HubSpot and Google Sheets. You can try paid features in trial mode, but you have to upgrade or remove them before publishing.

### How much is Typeform per month?

As of October 2026, Typeform's pricing page lists Basic at $39 a month billed monthly or $28 a month billed yearly, Plus at $79 or $56, and Business at $129 or $91\. Talent is $169 or $119 and Growth Flow $379 or $266\. Enterprise is custom. Typeform says it experiments with pricing, so your account may show different prices.

### Does Typeform charge per response?

Not directly. Each plan includes a monthly response allowance, and you buy more by adding response add-ons, turning on auto-upgrade or moving up a plan. Basic can be extended to 750 responses a month and Plus to 2,500\. Without add-ons or auto-upgrade, forms go private when you reach your limit until the next month.

### Do Typeform responses roll over?

No. Response limits reset every month and unused responses don't carry over, and that applies to yearly plans as well as monthly ones, so a yearly plan doesn't give you a yearly pool. Limits are shared across every form in the account, and deleting responses doesn't give you any back for that month.

### Can I get a refund from Typeform?

Typeform's billing FAQ says it doesn't issue refunds for contracts canceled before the contracted period ends. If you cancel, you keep paid features until the end of the prepaid month or year, then drop to the free plan. Your forms and responses stay in the account, but forms using paid features go into trial mode.

### Is Typeform worth it for a small business?

It can be if you value its form design, need its integrations, and your volume fits a tier: 100 responses a month on Basic, 1,000 on Plus. It is less of a fit if you have several users on a tight budget, seasonal spikes, or need a written deliverable after each form. Firms should compare OneForm, which drafts a reviewed report from each response; other teams can compare Tally, Fillout or Jotform.

This comparison reflects each vendor's published pricing, plans and features as of October 2026\. Typeform, Jotform, Tally, Fillout, Google Forms, Paperform and Zoho Forms are trademarks of their respective owners; OneForm isn't affiliated with them.
