For an accounting firm, OneForm is the better choice than Calendly or Acuity when the booking should follow a questionnaire: the client answers a short checkup, good-fit prospects see your calendar on the thank-you screen, and the call can be paid through your own Stripe account, on every plan including Free. Calendly wins for a team that only needs scheduling links, and Acuity for service businesses with many calendars and in-person appointments.
We make OneForm, one of the tools in this comparison. We've tried to be fair: every competitor detail below comes from the vendor's own pricing, product or help pages, checked in October 2026, and each section says who the tool is best for.

Key takeaways
- OneForm combines the questionnaire, the booking and the payment: scoring decides who sees the calendar, calls sync to Google Calendar with a Google Meet link, and paid calls go to your own Stripe account. Bookings are on every plan, Free Forever included.
- Calendly's free plan includes one event type and one calendar connection; Standard is listed at $10 a seat a month, and the plan comparison places routing forms that qualify and route leads on Teams at $16 a seat a month, as of October 2026.
- Acuity has no free plan; Starter is $16 a month billed annually ($20 monthly) for one calendar, with intake forms and payments on every plan and a 7-day trial.
- If you already use Calendly, Cal.com, Acuity or Microsoft Bookings, OneForm can show that calendar on the thank-you screen instead, with the client's name, email and time zone pre-filled.
- Pick by the moment of booking: a link in your email signature (Calendly), a service menu with staff calendars (Acuity), or a qualified prospect who has just told you about their situation (OneForm).

Why does the order of form and booking matter for accounting firms?
A booking link invites anyone to take 30 minutes of a partner's time. A questionnaire first changes who books and what the meeting is about. The prospect tells you their entity, revenue band and the question on their mind; your scoring decides whether they see the calendar, a resource, or a note that you will be in touch; and you walk into the call prepared.
This is the pattern behind speed to lead: the website does the next step instantly, so the personal reply can come later without losing the lead. Scheduling tools added routing forms to get here from the other direction. OneForm starts from the form.
How does OneForm handle bookings?
OneForm has its own scheduler, built so that a finished form becomes a booked call. You create a booking page in a 7-step wizard: length, free or paid, location, availability, questions, confirmation and publish. Then you choose where it appears.
- On the thank-you screen. After any form, the visitor sees two weeks of open times in their own time zone.
- Only for good-fit endings. Score the answers (OneFormAI suggests the points) and show the calendar only on the ending for prospects you want to meet. Others get a resource or a "we'll be in touch" message.
- In the report email. End a reviewed report with a "Book your strategy call" button.
- Anywhere else. A link, an embed, a popup button or a QR code.
What stands out
- Google Calendar sync across up to 10 calendars; if one calendar cannot be read, booking stops rather than double-booking. Each call gets a fresh Google Meet link, or a phone call, an address or your own meeting link.
- Paid calls through your own Stripe account, with the time held while the client pays, automatic refunds if they cancel early enough (24 hours by default), and reschedule and cancel links.
- Your hours, your rules: weekly hours, days off, buffers, minimum notice, how far ahead people can book, and a daily cap per page.
- Booking emails with a calendar invite, reminders the day and the hour before, and a bookings overview with no-show and cancellation rates.
- The client's answers in the booking drawer, so the person taking the call sees the questionnaire, not just a name.
Things to know
- OneForm's scheduler syncs with Google Calendar. If your firm runs on Outlook, show Microsoft Bookings on the thank-you screen instead (below).
- OneForm is a form and report tool first; it does not have Acuity's multi-staff service menu, class bookings or in-person point-of-sale features.
- Bookings and paid calls are on every plan. As of October 2026, OneForm's plans are Free Forever, Basic at $19 a month or $192 a year, Pro at $49 or $492 and Firm at $149 or $1,500.
Prefer your current scheduler? Keep it
OneForm can show Calendly, Cal.com, TidyCal, Acuity, SavvyCal, YouCanBookMe, HubSpot, Zoho, Microsoft Bookings or Google's booking page on the thank-you screen, or behind a button, with name, email and time zone pre-filled. Calendly, Cal.com and HubSpot bookings are confirmed on screen and recorded against the response. The embed is sandboxed, so only the scheduler's own page loads.
What does Calendly offer accounting firms?
Calendly is the default scheduling link for a reason: it is simple, familiar to clients, and works from an email signature. For a firm whose intake happens elsewhere, it does the booking part well.
What stands out
- A free plan with one event type, one calendar connection, a customisable booking page and a browser extension, per Calendly's pricing page.
- Six calendar connections and unlimited event types on Standard and Teams.
- Stripe and PayPal payments from Standard.
- Routing forms that "qualify, route, and schedule leads" are listed on the Teams plan.
Things to know
- Pricing is per seat. As of October 2026 the page shows Standard at $10 a seat a month and Teams at $16, each next to a yearly-savings label; Enterprise starts at $15,000 a year with a 50-seat minimum.
- Routing forms are a scheduling feature, not a client questionnaire: they decide which calendar to show, and the answers do not become a report.
What does Acuity Scheduling offer accounting firms?
Acuity, part of Squarespace, is built for service businesses that sell appointments: salons, clinics, tutors, and firms that run a menu of billable meetings across several staff calendars.
What stands out
- Custom client intake forms "to collect client details, terms and conditions, and more," on every plan, per Acuity's pricing page.
- Payments through Stripe, Square, PayPal and Venmo inside the booking flow.
- Up to 6 calendars on Standard and 36 on Premium.
Things to know
- No free plan: "Acuity doesn't offer free appointment scheduling at this time." All plans have a 7-day free trial.
- As of October 2026, Starter is $16 a month billed annually or $20 monthly (1 calendar), Standard $27 or $34 (up to 6 calendars) and Premium $55 or $69 (up to 36 calendars).
- Intake forms attach to an appointment that has already been chosen; they do not decide whether the prospect should be offered a meeting at all.
Which should your firm choose?
- Your website should qualify prospects, show the calendar to the right ones, and let you charge for the call: OneForm.
- You want a reviewed report first and the booking as the next step in the report email: OneForm.
- You just need a reliable link for existing clients to grab time: Calendly Free or Standard, or Cal.com Free.
- You run a menu of billable appointments across several staff calendars: Acuity.
- You already pay for one of these and like it: keep it, and show it on OneForm's thank-you screen with the details pre-filled.
A note from Brian Davis, CPA, CFE, OneForm's founder
Running my own firm since 2017, I kept wanting the same thing: ask a client the right questions, collect their answers, and sometimes have the process lead straight to a meeting. For years that meant a form in one app, a scheduler in another, and me copying answers between them before a call. The booking step in OneForm exists so that the person who shows up on my calendar has already told me why they are there, and so that the ones who are not a fit yet get something useful instead of a slot.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best scheduling tool for accountants?
If your bookings should follow a questionnaire, OneForm is the best fit: the form qualifies the prospect, the calendar appears only for good-fit endings, and paid calls run through your own Stripe account on every plan. Calendly is best for a simple scheduling link, and Acuity for service businesses with several staff calendars. Many firms use OneForm for prospects and keep Calendly for existing clients.
Is there a Calendly alternative for accountants with an intake form?
Yes. OneForm puts the intake form first and the calendar on the thank-you screen, so scoring decides who can book and the booking drawer shows the client's answers. Cal.com and Calendly offer routing forms on their team plans, and Acuity attaches intake forms to appointments. The difference is whether the questionnaire decides the booking or the booking triggers the questionnaire.
Can I charge for a consultation when a client books?
Yes. OneForm's paid calls hold the time while the client pays with Stripe, refund automatically if they cancel early enough, and pay out to your own Stripe account; OneForm takes no cut. Calendly offers Stripe and PayPal from its Standard plan, Acuity on every plan, and Cal.com on Free, per their pricing pages as of October 2026. See how to charge for tax consultations.
Does OneForm replace Calendly?
It can, for client-facing bookings that follow a form: OneForm has its own booking pages with Google Calendar sync, Google Meet links, reminders and paid calls. If you prefer Calendly, Cal.com, Acuity or Microsoft Bookings, OneForm shows that scheduler on the thank-you screen with the client's details pre-filled, and records Calendly, Cal.com and HubSpot bookings against the response.
Does Calendly have a free plan for a small firm?
Yes. As of October 2026, Calendly's free plan includes one event type, one calendar connection, a customisable booking page and the browser extension. Payments, multiple event types and six calendar connections start on Standard, and routing forms are listed on Teams. OneForm's Free Forever plan includes booking pages and paid calls alongside 3 live forms and 50 responses a month.
