Your accountant may let you book a call online, on a booking page or at the end of a form. Once you're booked, you can move or cancel the call yourself from the link in your confirmation email.

Book a call

  1. Open your accountant's booking link, or finish their form.
  2. Under Pick a time, choose a day and a time. Times are shown in your own time zone.
  3. Fill in your name and email, and anything they should know.
  4. Click Confirm booking. If the call is paid, click Pay & confirm and pay on the secure Stripe page.
  5. You'll see You're booked!

You then get an email starting with Booked:. It has the call's details, a calendar invite attached, and buttons to Join the call (when there's a video link), Add to Google Calendar, and Change or cancel this booking.

For a paid call, your time is held for a few minutes while you pay. If you don't finish in time, you'll see That time was released and nothing is charged. Click Pick another time to start again.

Move your call

  1. In your confirmation email, click Change or cancel this booking.
  2. Click Move it.
  3. Pick a new time and click Move the call here.

You get an email starting with Moved: and an updated calendar invite. Changed your mind? Click Keep (followed by the call's date) to leave it where it was.

Cancel your call

  1. In your confirmation email, click Change or cancel this booking.
  2. Click Cancel.
  3. Add a note if you like, then click Yes, cancel it.

You get an email starting with Cancelled:, with a file that removes the call from your calendar.

Good to know

  • Reminders. You'll usually get a reminder email the day before, with the join link. Some firms also send one an hour before.
  • Video links. If the link isn't ready when you book, the email says it will follow. You get another email with the link once it's ready.
  • Changing it close to the call. Your accountant may set a cut-off. The booking page says how long before the call you can still change it online.
  • Refunds for paid calls. The booking page says whether cancelling refunds you in full and until when. A refund takes a few days to show on your statement.

Why can't I move or cancel online?

The page says "It's too close to the call to change it online." Your accountant's cut-off has passed. Reply to your confirmation email and they'll sort it out with you.

Why wasn't my payment refunded when I cancelled?

The page tells you before you cancel. If it said "It's past the refund deadline" or "Payments aren't refunded automatically when you cancel", the refund is up to your accountant. Your cancellation email says so too. Reply to it if you'd like to talk about it.

What if the time I picked is taken?

If you see "That time was just taken. Please pick another.", someone booked it a moment before you. Choose another time. If you see "You've already booked this call.", check your email for your confirmation and use its link to change the time instead.
