Leave a firm or delete your account

Leave one firm and keep your account, or delete your OneForm account for good.

Updated October 22, 2026 · 2 min read

Leaving a firm takes away your access to that firm only. Deleting your account removes you from OneForm completely. In both cases, the firm keeps its forms, clients and reports.

Leave a firm

  1. Go to Profile.
  2. Under Your firms, click Leave next to the firm.
  3. Confirm with Leave.

You can also leave from Firm → Team: open the ⋯ menu next to your own name and choose Leave firm.

You lose access to that firm right away. To come back, someone on its team has to invite you again. Any AI agents you connected to that firm lose access too.

Delete your account

  1. Go to Profile.
  2. Under Delete my account, click Delete my account….
  3. Type DELETE in Type DELETE to confirm.
  4. Enter Your password. If you don't use a password, this works within 15 minutes of signing in.
  5. Click Delete my account.

You're signed out everywhere, and your account is removed. It can't be undone.

What happens to your work

  • The firms keep their data. You leave every firm you're in, and their forms, clients and reports stay with them.
  • Your name comes off the logs. Activity you took part in stays in each firm's audit log, without your name.
  • Your sign-in stops working. To use OneForm again later, you'd sign up again or accept a new invite.

Good to know

  • Owners hand over first. If you're the only owner of a firm, make someone else an owner on the Team page first. See Roles and permissions.
  • Closing the firm is different. If the whole firm is stopping, an owner can close it, which deletes the firm's data after 30 days. See Close your firm.
  • Want a copy first? An owner can download everything the firm holds before anyone leaves. See Export your firm's data.

Why can't I leave my firm?

You're its only owner, so the firm would have no one in charge. Make someone else an owner first, or close the firm in Settings → Data & privacy.

Why is "Delete my account" greyed out?

You're the only owner of at least one firm. The page names it. Make someone else an owner of that firm, or close it in Settings → Data & privacy, then come back.
