In a dynamic form, your questions become a bank. Instead of asking every one, OneFormAI looks at the answers so far and picks the most useful next question for that client. Each person answers fewer questions, and the ones they get fit their situation.
Turn it on
- Open the form in the builder and go to the Settings tab.
- Turn on Dynamic form.
- Set Ask at most and Ask at least to the number of questions each client should answer.
- Under What should the questions find out?, write the goal in a sentence. For example: "Find the 3 biggest tax-saving opportunities for this business owner."
The card shows how many questions the form has to choose from. Add more questions in the Build tab to give OneFormAI more to pick from.
Keep some questions in place
Contact details usually belong at the start or the end. With dynamic on, each question has an extra setting:
- In the Build tab, select the question.
- In the side panel, under In a dynamic form, choose Always first, OneFormAI decides or Always last.
Questions pinned to the end are always asked, even when OneFormAI has enough before that.
What clients see
Clients see one question at a time, with "Question 3 of up to 8" at the top. When OneFormAI has what it needs and at least Ask at least questions are answered, the form can finish early. Questions it didn't ask stay blank in the response.
Good to know
- Build a dynamic form with AI. On the Create page, tap Dynamic before you click Build. See Create a form with AI.
- Choosing questions doesn't use your OneAI Tokens.
- Logic: jump rules aren't used in dynamic forms. "Show only if" rules still are, so a question that doesn't apply is never picked. See Logic and branching.
- Required questions are only required if they're asked.
- Previews ask in list order. Try it and Preview go through your questions in order. Only the published form lets OneFormAI choose.
- If OneFormAI is unavailable or slow, questions come in list order, so the form always works.
- Voice-first forms don't have this option: the conversation works through your questions in its own way. See How voice forms work.
Why doesn't my form feel dynamic?
- The bank is too small. If Ask at most is close to the number of questions, most clients get most of them. Add more questions, or lower Ask at most.
- Too many questions are pinned. Pinned questions always come first or last, so fewer are left for OneFormAI to choose.
- You're testing a preview. Previews use list order. Publish the form and open its link to see OneFormAI choose.
